How do I schedule a MRI, CT, PET/CT,
X-RAY or ULTRASOUND?
If your doctor has recommended a MRI, CT, PET/CT, X-RAY or an ultrasound to help in diagnosing your symptoms, then we will need a written order from your doctor's office. Once we have the order, you or the doctor's office will call to schedule you for an appointment. You can reach scheduling by calling (815)398-1300.


How long does it usually take to be
scheduled for an appointment?
Usually your appointment can be scheduled within a day or two. Sometimes we are even able to accommodate same day appointments.


How long will it take?
Again, each exam is different. Depending on the images ordered by your physician, your exam could take between 30 minutes and 21⁄2 hours. We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out applicable paperwork.


When will my Doctor get a report?
Generally the scans are read the same day or next morning. A formal report will be sent to your doctor within hours.


What preparations should I make
prior to my exam?
Each exam is different. Your doctor will inform you of any requirements at the time of your referral. You are always welcome to call Forest City to get any additional information.

                               

I have to work and have trouble getting off
during the day. Do you have early morning, evening,
and weekend hours?
Yes, we have convenient early morning, evening, and Saturday appointments.
Mon, Wed, and Thurs 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
Tuesday and Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday 7:00 am - 1:00 pm



What can I expect during my scan?
Before your scan, eat normally and continue to take your usual medications unless otherwise instructed. For a PET/CT or CT scan you may have dietary restrictions, you will be told of this prior to your scheduled time. Regardless of which scan you are having, you will be given a set of scrubs or a gown to wear. Remove all accessories, jewelry, watch, etc. Also remove wigs, dentures and hearing aids.


Do you accept my insurance plan?
FCDI accepts most insurance plans. If your insurance company is not on our list of in-network providers, do not worry. We will accept all insurance plans whether you are in OR out-of-network with Forest City. We will contact your insurance company prior to your appointment so you know exactly what you’ll owe, if any, before you are tested.


Do you accept payment plans?
FCDI does accept payment plans. Payment arrangements would need to be set up with our billing company.


Will the quality be the same as
going to the hospital?
We offer quality, state-of-the-art imaging that is the same or superior to a hospital and actually less expensive. Our staff has over 100 years of combined experience from the area's finest technologists and radiologists.We are precise, punctual and personable - We are FOREST CITY!

CD copy of images are sent with the patient before they leave.
